I was invited to be part of a panel discussion, discussing wound care strategies which can be of specific benefit to the plus size community. I was able to share some skin health self-care options but it was fascinating to see how techniques are developing to assist in this very challenging field.
As usual with wound care there were some delightfully gruesome slides. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if we could consign these images to the history books and ensure better outcomes for everyone?
There was so much goodwill and expertise on the panel I’m sure that day is getting closer. Thanks to Relias for inviting me, and to the wonderful Dr Susan Gallagher of The Celebration Institute.
