I had a lovely day with the very expert Moving and Handling trainers of Edge Services in York. The Team are responsible for training the trainers, and wanted time to experiment with some new techniques as well as to discuss all matters pertaining to Bariatric patients.
We covered lots of topics including terminology and preferred terms, as well as lots of hands on time with me being moved, lifted and turned.
They were all very enthusiastic, and clearly expert communicators with a real passion for communicating ways to improve the outcomes of patients.
As I left they told me they were off for some team building at an Axe throwing venue. I hope everyone survived ok! 🙂
